Our approach to sustainability is based on a deep respect for the health of our planet and the people who live on it. We strive to be better every day and are always looking to reduce our environmental impact further.
We work with some of UK's best suppliers who share our commitment to combating the climate crisis.
Our meat comes from Jones, The Butcher who are based just down the road from us. They share our dedication to high welfare, free-range meat that tastes great.
Our fish comes from Chapmans of Sevenoaks, a fish supplier who can tell us where your fish came from right down to the boat it was caught in. They deliver us sustainable spanking fresh fish every week.
Since the beginning of our journey, we have eliminated all but three pieces of single use plastic from our boxes.
It is a constant balancing act between eliminating plastic and keeping food fresh (which plastic is annoyingly good at!) but we’re proud of our progress!
Food deliveries are set to rise 78% by 2030. The challenge is meeting that rise without a similar explosion in emissions.
Through working with Eden Reforestation Projects we offset our delivery emissions by planting a tree for every box we send.
We have also partnered up with JA Logistics, whose fleet is ⅓ electric with big plans to make that percentage even higher.
Our mission is to become a carbon negative company and the most sustainable recipe box out there!
We hope you can join us on our journey towards a tastier, healthier and more conscious food system that can deliver a better future for everyone.
